I love the art and the concept; the subtle water effect when you swim is impressive and very aesthetic!
Also, getting better at the game by being stealthy and perceptive is a super cool game mechanic. Simple controls are refreshing :)
Only feedback would be to add player-feedback when losing a heart (screen shake, player flashes red, some chomping sound, etc). Same could go for eating a mollusk.

The visuals are very nice although at first I thought some background elements had to be avoided like the volcano. The music is also nice and pleasant
